The bombee scallop shaped apron displays one drawer adorned with a richly chased pierced foliate keyhole escutcheon tied with a charming ribbon and laurel pulls. The sides display beautiful veneered panels showcasing the wood grains while at the center is the original fitted leather writing surface which displays a mottled ormolu front and which pulls out via two circular knobs. The horseshoe shaped top displays two shelves at each side and two drawers at the center with fine ormolu pulls and the original fitted Incarnat Turquin marble top above framed in a lovely pierced ormolu gallery with a most decorative heart shaped design.
